People often ask me “What does it take to be the captain of the ship?” Well, sometimes (but not always) it takes at least having a ship. That ship doesn’t necessarily have to be a physical boat, but it helps. When it comes to leadership, it’s like the old adage goes, some are born into it, some rise up to it and some have it thrust upon them. I believe there’s a good argument for the best being those that have the venture thrusted upon them because like category two, they too have to rise to the challenge, only overnight. That’s where good improv skills truly come in handy.
